SENIOR MODELLING ANALYST
As a Senior Modelling Analyst for Bord Gais I was responsible for providing analytical and programming expertise to support daily trading operations and long term business strategy. I optimised the generation of both renewable and traditional generators to maximise generation and revenue. I enhanced the forecasting capabilities of the company for both generation and customer demand through the introduction of machine learning frameworks.

POST GRADUATE STUDENT
This thesis focussed on the study of a tidal turbine deployed in a location which is exposed to ocean waves. The research is driven by a desire within the industry to greater understand the impacts of waves on the operational lifetime of tidal turbines and the techno-economic impact wave loadings can have. In carrying out this research I have slashed the time and cost involved in analysing a potential site for fatigue. I also removed the requirement for specialist intervention at the early/intermediate stage of a techno-economic analysis

POST GRADUATE RESEARCHER
Carried out a commercial role alongside the research performed as part of my doctoral studies. Delivered cutting edge analysis to commercial renewable energy projects.
June 2013 - September 2013
GRADUATE RESEARCHER
Delivered significant improvements to the robustness of analytical tools used by the research centre. Modernised outdated excel based analytical tools into modern coding languages. Created a graphical interface to interact with a large amount of data which allowed for significantly easier access to that database.
