ANDREW CLARKE
I am an enthusiastic and experienced, self-starting Data Analyst.
I began working as a postgraduate researcher 8 years ago, with a focus on incorporating a diverse set of metocean and physical data to create a techno-economic analytical toolset for tidal turbines.
Since then I have developed and honed my analytical skills, driving business development and implementing complex technical requirements.
I am proud to have developed a creative, collaborative, and open-minded career and invite you to learn more about my work below.
BIO
I'm a multi-passionate, collaborative and solution-driven individual with a passion for science, engineering and research.
In 2013 I graduated with a bachelors degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
The degree provided me with a diverse skill set which lay foundations for me to successfully branch into the analytics field.
Analytics brings me great satisfaction and I am driven to break new boundaries on all projects.
I'm also a keen runner, coffee drinker and cook.
MORE ABOUT ME
IRISH AND EN ROUTE TO VANCOUVER
I was born in Ireland and have lived here all of my life so far. I am passionate about travel and outdoor adventure. I fell in love with Canada the first time I visited and I have decided to move my life to Vancouver with my partner.
GRADUATE EMPLOYMENT
Since graduating from my bachelors of civil engineering I have embraced and developed the analytical skills I developed at University College Cork and used them to work towards building a stronger more sustainable energy system.
EDUCATION
I attended school in my local village, making friends for life and diving into all things science and maths from an early age. I also enjoyed art and 'the arts'.
EARLY DAYS EMPLOYMENT
I started working at the ripe age of 16 in my local supermarket. I am ever thankful for the valuable life education that I gained from early mornings, physically strenuous work, supporting customers and balancing work and college.
